Faith Renee Safe Legacy Scholarship

In honor of Faith Renee Hamilton’s life and legacy, the Faith Renee Safe Legacy Scholarship seeks to empower young women and men to build lives rooted in safety, compassion, and strength . This scholarship encourages open and honest conversations about healthy relationships , the importance of recognizing relationship red flags , and the belief that love should be gentle, supportive, and never fearful . Through education and reflection, this scholarship aims to honor Faith by supporting students who demonstrate thoughtfulness, empathy, and a commitment to creating safe and respectful relationships in their lives and communities.

Our Mission: SADA’s House is committed to providing transitional services to survivors of domestic violence and working to end the vicious cycle of abuse within our communities.

Award: $500.00 Scholarship (non-renewable)

Eligibility Criteria:  An Airport Community High School senior who has a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and who has received an official admission letter to a college and/or university.

Essay Requirement: Applicants are required to submit a 1–2 page typed essay addressing the following prompt.

Essay Prompt: In alignment with the mission of the Faith Renee Safe Legacy Scholarship, reflect on what it means to build and maintain healthy, safe relationships. Your essay may include (but is not limited to):

  • The qualities of a healthy relationship
  • The importance of recognizing relationship red flags
  • How you define love that is respectful, supportive, and non-violent
  • How you plan to promote safety, compassion, and strength in your future relationships or community

Applicants are encouraged to be reflective and authentic. Personal experiences, lessons learned, or future goals may be shared, but are not required.
