Airport Community Schools Foundation was privileged to host the first annual Dale Malone Memorial Golf outing, and with the support of the Malone Family and our Airport Community, we are honored to offer the Dale Malone Memorial Scholarship. Dale Malone has played an instrumental role at Airport Community Schools. As a 1977 graduate, Dale was inducted into the Airport Hall of Fame through his football and track accomplishments. Dale was a school board member from 1985 to 1989 and from 1995 to 2000. Dale went on to be a two-term elected Monroe County Sheriff from 2013 through 2020. As a sheriff, Dale was also the Airport Community School Liaison Officer from 1991 to 1993. A true Jet, Dale’s support of Airport Community Schools is greatly appreciated.
Award: $1,000.00 scholarship (non-renewable)
Eligibility Criteria:
- Airport Community High School senior with at least a 2.5 GPA at the end of the first semester of senior year.
- Plans to attend an accredited college, university or trade school with intent to pursue a degree associated with community service.
